The LSS, Inc. Control Panels are configured for a specific facility. The size of the power supplies are determined by the number and types of devices used for Ingress/Egress and the types of locking mechanisms. The multiport device is also determined by the number of doors configured into the system. The number of input and output ports on the Programmable Controller is determined by the number of control points which are required. Since these Control Panels are specific to a facility, they will all be priced according to the functionality required.

The LSS, Inc. modular systems are configured for a specific facility. The size of the enclosure is determined by the type of multiport device which is used. The multiport device is determined by the number of doors or serial devices configured into the system. The number of input and output ports on the Programmable Controller is determined by the number of alarm points which are required. Since these enclosures are specific to a facility, they will all be priced according to the functionality required. The baseline system consists of the enclosure, an 800MHz cpu on a small footprint mother board, a 230W ATX power supply, and a 30GB hard drive. The operating system is LINUX Mandrake 9.2, and the LSS facility acountability system software is included.

This LSS, Inc. modular system shows an access control system with a serial hub incorporated into the electrical enclosure. This serial hub is an 8-port device; hence, it can adequately handle eight doors. The unit comes with two tcp/ip ports, and in this unit one port handles the serial hub (eight doors) while the other port handles cameras and communication with the intranet/internet.

The components are stacked vertically in the enclosure, and from top to bottom are: the small footprint motherboard with 128MB RAM, the 40GB HDD, and at the bottom is the eight-port serial hub.
