The key to success on any project depends on the attitude of the system provider. Lujan Software Services has been providing software systems since 1980 and facility security systems since 1985. We have found that the first step toward successful project implementation is to know exactly what the customer requires. This step involves actual working sessions, where the customer is given the opportunity to describe in detail the requirements of his facility security system. Once this step is complete it is the responsibility of the provider (Lujan Software Services) to provide a good system design, reliable equipment, good integration of hardware components, and a good checkout procedure when the implementation is complete. Last but not least the provider (Lujan Software Services) must have in place a support strategy to insure the customer always has a reliable system. Each of these steps is treated individually in the following discussion.

CUSTOMER SYSTEM DESIGN

It is imperative the customer get involved in the design process. It is the only way to insure the finished product will meet all expectations. This process is accomplished by performing the following steps:

1. The customer should furnish a drawing of the facility he expects to protect. This drawing should be forwarded to the provider, and through consultation with the customer, the provider should determine the best location for all sensors.

2. The provider should provide the customer with a detailed drawing and explanation of how the system will function.

3. Once the functions have been determined the provider should forward the design specification to the customer.

4. A detailed checkout should be included as part of the specification.

5. A complete hardware list and wiring diagram should be provided to the customer.

6. Once agreement is reached on what will be delivered a contract for services should be executed.

GUARANTEE OF REALIABLE EQUIPMENT AND HARDWARE INTEGRATION

All hardware will be ordered and delivered to Lujan Software Services. It is the resposibility of the provider (Lujan Software Services) to insure that all hardware is in working condition. The following steps will be performed:

1. Completeness of delivered components is insured.

2. All software will be installed.

3. System mock-up will be performed at Lujan Software Services facilities.

4. Any component which does not function correctly will be returned to manufacturer and replaced.

5. Complete system intergration will be performed at our location.

6. System will be tested to insure it conforms to the design and the test procedure will be performed.

7. All records of our system checkout will be forwarded to the customer.

8. The system will be placed on-line and the customer will be allowed to enter the system and a complete functional test will be performed with the customer on-line.

9. Any failures of the system will be corrected and the customer will again test out his system.

10. Once the customer is satisfied the system will be forwarded to the customer.

11. If a system integrator is installing the system, then, once the system is completely installed it will be placed on-line and the customer, integrator, and Lujan Software Services will jointly test the system.

12. Once all parties are satisfied the project will be deemed complete.

SUPPORT

Support for our delivered systems is accomplished by on-line connections. The same procedure used to test the system on-line will be used for system support and training. The use of Internet connectivity allows us to perform system trouble-shooting, software updates, and training by our trained personnel. Your costs are considerably decreased by eliminating technicains who have to be on-site. Our on-line trouble shooting pin points problem areas and technicians who have to go on site for equipment replacement know exactly what needs to be done before they show up. Again, this decreases the hourly costs associated with hardware maintenance.
