Add Badge Readers Menu1. You may choose this badge reader or click the "Badge IO Port" button to toggle to the next available badge reader. 2. Badge Mode: Select the mode that the badge reader will be set in. Your options are: --- In - badge readers are entry readers. --- Out - badge readers are exit readers. --- In-Out - badge readers are both entry and exit readers. 3. Badge Access: Select the access for the reader. Your options are: --- Open - will allow entry to any valid badge, even if the user is not in your system's database. --- Restricted - indicates the user must be entered into your system's database, and have access to that area to gain entry. The next three sections are time intervals. You may set each between one and ten seconds. 4. Grant Interval: Time set for grant signal to hold locking device unlocked. 5. Deny Interval: Time set for deny signal to indicate to user of access denial. Red indicators on badge red will illuminate. 6. Retry Interval: Time set for retry signal to indicate to user to retry badge swipe. 7. Badge Description: This is simply the title name for the badge reader. Click the cursor in the field to begin typing the title. Usually the title is the name of the door or entryway. 8. BR Model No: This section asks what type of badge reader is to be used on this port. You have up to seven types of readers to choose from. You may mix any allowable type of badge reader to your ACAS system. However, when choosing the model it must match up exactly with the actual badge reader being physically installed. 9. Once all your specifications have been selected click the "OK" button to accept your new badge reader. 10. You may click the "cancel" button to refuse the new badge reader. You may also click the "cancel" button to exit. You will be returned to the Configuration Badge Reader Menu. 11. By clicking the "OK" button a small gray box will appear stating: "added BR: #" where the number indicates the position chosen on the Badge IO Port. ![]() --- NOTE - If your allotment of readers are taken, a small gray box will appear stating: "all readers have been configured". This means you have no more badge readers to add or configure. |
