Add User Menu

To add a new user click the "Add User" button. A User Modification Screen will appear. Although the screen is titled User Modifications it is used for adding in a new user, as well as modifying and deleting.

1. To start filling in the information, place the cursor onto the screen. Position the cursor to the first information box and click. The first information field will now become outlined with a blue box. Begin typing in the user information.

2. Now that all information has been entered the Escort option needs to be determined. It is up to you as the System Administrator and the Area Supervisor to determine what kind of escort option is to be chosen. Click the "escort" button to toggle between options. The escort options are:

--- Unescorted - Will allow access to all areas the user has been granted access to.
--- May Escort - Will allow authorized user to escort unauthorized users into restricted areas.
--- Needs Escort - User will need an escort to go into restricted areas. ( A visitor is a good example of this feature.)

3. Access for the user must now be determined. Click the "Area Access" button. An area screen box will appear with all configured areas in your ACAS system. Click box or boxes to select the areas where access is granted for this individual. Click the "OK" button to accept area access.

4. An expiration date needs to be set for all areas chosen for the user. Click the "Expiration" button. The area expiration box will now appear. You must set an expiration date for each area chosen. By default the system assigns a one year access allowed entry. Each date may be different and is selected by right or left hand clicks on the mouse. Click "OK" to accept expiration dates.

5. To accept all the information click the "accept new user" button. A smaller box will appear stating: "New User has been added"

6. Click the "OK" button to add the new user to your ACAS system.

7. Click the "cancel" button at anytime to return to the User Menu.

NOTE: Your ACAS system has been configured with the aid of Area Supervisors and Building Manager to insure the safety of all users of you ACAS system. When selecting areas for the users, please be positive that the user really needs access to that area.
