Configuring the vacation file

The ACAS distribution does not come with the vacation schedule configured because every installation usually has it's own unique vacation schedule. However, included in the distrubution is a file which is configured as a typical vacation file. The file is used to open and close the doors of a facility according to a pre-planned schedule. It should be pointed out that this file will also open and close the doors on a temporary basis or an unplanned basis.

This file exists in the acas directory and is named "crontab.old". To view this file open an x-terminal by holding down the left hand mouse button and selecting the x-term entry. This action brings up an x-term and prompts you for an action. At the prompt type "cat crontab.old" and the system will list the contents of the the crontab file. For example:

(acas@acas~)cat crontab.old
